Another really tasty address in the area - and I didn't know it until yesterday !!! Embarrassing, I know, but fortunately that's history and I'm still looking forward to my next visit. Great ambience as only an old half-timbered house can develop. Not sterile, as unfortunately happens far too often at the moment, but here really applies: if these walls could talk ... Hopefully I'll be back soon, then certainly in the evening with time and really hungry!

A quaint, beautifully renovated inn, centrally located in the old town center of Bönnigheim, a historic castle, remains of the city wall, a beautiful church and other historical buildings line the area. Sufficient parking spaces in the immediate vicinity as well as an ATM. In front of the inn there are seating options that invite you to linger in summer temperatures and without the COVID-19 restrictions. Disinfectant is currently available at the entrance, the name and address are requested, and the friendly staff then assigns the seats. It is advisable to reserve a table in advance. As soon as you enter the building, the attention to detail that was made during the restoration and subsequent inventory design is immediately apparent. The picture is coherent and harmonious. There is standing space and a limited number of seats on the ground floor. The actual dining room is on the second floor. This is a minor minus point, as the narrow, somewhat steep spiral staircase is an insurmountable obstacle for people with wheelchairs or those with walking difficulties. However, this is due to the historical building fabric. The menu pleases with the cleverly chosen, partly regional dishes and does not appear overloaded. In addition to the usual selection of drinks, wine from local locations is also offered. The preparation and serving of the dishes are convincing. The salad and the soup were very tasty, the soup was hot. The main course was served in a cast pan (Ratspfännle). The arrangement was very consistent in terms of image and taste, the only point was the disappointing temperature of the loin, sauce and spaetzle, everything was almost lukewarm, the pan unfortunately cold. Pan-fried dishes not only live from the core temperature of the meat, but also from the long-lasting heat from the cast iron pan. The criticism was presented discreetly and objectively, received just as professionally and communicated to the kitchen. As an excuse they asked whether we would accept a coffee, espresso, liqueur or schnapps. This was presented in a nice, friendly and professional manner, we were happy to respond to the criticism and subject matter. The dinner, the ambience as well as the entire visit and evening were a nice event. The Ratsstüble, its dishes and the friendly service therefore get a clear recommendation. We are happy to visit the Ratsstüble again.

Great restaurant. Great team. We went to eat there today. 2 adults and 2 children. The kids a little picky. No problem for the team. Something would be found there. The team implemented the 4 year old's special wishes without any problems. The menu is not overloaded. The dishes fit the restaurant and are more than delicious. The waitress comes and is polite and ready for a little chat. Prices perfectly okay. Paid 50 euros for 2 people and 2 children. The salad beforehand was great. The ambience in this old, almost 600 year old house is great. I felt safe in the times of Corona. Sufficient distance to the neighboring table. You will be picked up and placed at the entrance. No misunderstandings as a result. If our vacation wasn't over now we would come again. A big thank you to the team. Stay healthy and see you next time.
